    This is a rare November 13th, 1949 "Playgoer" playbill from the three-night, Post-Broadway engagement of NOEL COWARD's classic comedy "PRIVATE LIVES" at the Shubert Theatre in New Haven, Connecticut. (The revival opened October 4th, 1948 at the Plymouth Theatre in New York City and ran for 248 performances before going on the road.) ..... The play starred TALLULAH BANKHEAD and featured DONALD COOK, BARBARA BAXLEY, WILLIAM LANGFORD and THERESE QUADRI, who was a member of the 1931 Original Broadway Cast as well as the 1948 revival ..... CREDITS: Book by NOEL COWARD; Sets designed by CHARLES ELSON; Directed by MARTIN MANULIS; Produced by JOHN C. WILSON ..... DETAILS: The 36 page playbill measures 6" X 9 1/4" inches and includes full production credits, cast list, synopsis of scenes, bios of each of the actors and wonderful vintage advertising, but no cast photos ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a vertical crease and minor surface and edge wear, this playbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any theatre aficionado or historian.
