This is a rare replacement insert from the out-of-town tryout and WORLD PREMIERE engagement of the JOSEPH STEIN and STEPHEN SCHWARTZ musical flop "THE BAKER'S WIFE" at the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion in Los Angeles, California. (The production opened May 11th, 1976 in Los Angeles and closed November 13th, 1976 in Washington, D.C. canceling the scheduled November 21st, 1976 opening in New York City.) ..... This rare replacement insert announces the change in the role of "Genevieve", played by PATTI LuPONE who was hired to replace CAROLE DEMAS just three performances into the run. The musical starred TOPOL (who would be replaced by PAUL SORVINO just three weeks before the scheduled Broadway opening) and featured PATTI LuPONE, KURT PETERSON, DAVID ROUNDS, TIMOTHY JEROME, PORTIA NELSON, TERI RALSTON, DARLENE CONLEY, GORDON CONNELL, PIERRE EPSTEIN, TARA LEIGH, JEAN McLAUGHLIN, CYNTHIA PARVA, CHARLES RULE, TONY SHULTZ and KEENE CURTIS .....
