This is a rare advertising handbill (flyer) promoting ticket sales for the Pre-Broadway tryout of the JEROME WEIDMAN and HAROLD ROME musical comedy "I CAN GET IT FOR YOU WHOLESALE" at the Colonial Theatre in Boston, Massachusetts beginning February 27th, 1962. (Following tryout engagements in Philadelphia and Boston, the show would open March 22nd, 1962 at the Sam S. Shubert Theatre in New York City and run for 300 performances.) ..... The production marked the Broadway debut of nineteen year-old BARBRA STREISAND as "Miss Marmelstein" and also included Streisand's future husband ELLIOTT GOULD. This single page, two-sided handbill measures 4 1/2" X 12" inches and includes wonderful graphics, production credits and performance dates on the front and promotional text and a ticket order form on the backside. (Please Note: No cast members are mentioned by name in the text of the handbill.) ..... CONDITION: With the exception of a fold across the middle, this rare handbill is in excellent condition and will make a wonderful addition to the collection of any musical theatre aficionado or historian. This item will be carefully packaged in a protective, carded sleeve and backed by stiff cardboard.
